A man threatening people with a homemade weapon on Raglan Parade in Warrnambool was arrested by police around 7.30pm on Tuesday.

A Warrnambool police spokesman said the man, 49, was experiencing a mental health episode and initially resisted arrest.
He was wielding a homemade axe and was picked up by police near Flaxman Street.
The police used OC foam, or pepper spray, in apprehending the man.
The man was taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital for psychiatric assessment.
The spokesman said no one had been injured.
