The convent grounds are one of five locations to be showcased in Sunday’s Open Garden Day event.
Koroit Historical Society president Andrea Lowenthal said it was a rare treat to have the convent included in this weekend’s event.
“I don’t ever recall it being open to the public,” Mrs Lowenthal said. “It’s been a convent, school camp and boutique bed and breakfast, but I don’t believe it’s ever been seen like this.”
Organisers say the summer house will also be open on Sunday.
Event coordinator and member of the Rail Trail Maintenance Group, Jenny McLean, is confident the gardens will impress visitors.
“We are thrilled with the quality of the five gardens, they are all different and I have no doubt they will inspire any gardener,” she said.
Tickets, maps and Devonshire tea will be available at the Koroit Railway Station.
