Young and old walked a city block with coloured lanterns to show their support for loved ones affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
There was live music, fundraisers and presentations including one prepared by former Warrnambool resident Kirrily Payne about her daughter Alexis’, 2, leukaemia diagnosis and how the foundation helped them.
South West TAFE hosted the event and tourism teacher Justin Williams said many attendees had a connection to blood cancer. “It can be a loved one lost, a family member, a friend or colleague. It could even be yourself,” he said. ”We want you to know we are here for you and will always support you.”
