A band of 10 volunteers packed pens, wristbands and poppy badges which will be delivered to schools, businesses and street sellers.
Poppy stalls will operate in the city from late next week and Warrnambool RSL president John Miles hopes to raise more than $27,000.
He said proceeds would help the RSL to provide welfare support to veterans and their dependents.
“Please be kind, donate generously. Every cent you donate goes to where it’s supposed to go,” he said.
Volunteer and Warrnambool RSL life member Margaret Morton said she had been helping for years and enjoyed the role.
