The crowd met at Warrnambool’s Pavilion before walking along the foreshore promenade to raise awareness of the disease.
Event coordinator Andrew Suggett challenged all 25 Warrnambool City Council candidates to attend as a sign of support for the community with several walking.
“A lot of people with Parkinson’s can’t travel very far, so they can’t make it to the Melbourne walk,” he said.
“I organised this event for those people four years ago and now it has become an annual walk.”
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition and it’s estimated there are about 80,000 Australians living with it.
