McCluggage’s four-goal effort, which also yielded 17 disposals, three inside 50s and two tackles, earned the 18-year-old honours as second-best-on-ground behind Tim Taranto.
It only added fuel to speculation that the South Warrnambool hopeful could emerge as a prized high pick in November’s national draft.
