My Career, My Future will provide intensive coaching, mentoring and help to develop foundation skills.
South West Victorian SEAL’s Heather Reardon said the My Career, My Future program was open to anyone wanting to improve their skills and understand what it takes.
“It is designed to support young people on their journey to employment, focussing on building a young person’s skills, confidence and readiness to engage in employment,” she said.
“Young people will receive intensive, pre-employment support to improve their work readiness and to help them into work or education including apprenticeships or traineeships.”
Ms Reardon said the south-west’s year 12 attainment rate was poor, which often limited young people’s opportunities when looking for work.
She said the My Career, My Future program was designed to help young people connect with opportunities for employment and further education.
It begins October 10.
