Chloe In Paris is rated a $41 hope in the nine-horse field to give Maher his eighth group one victory.
"It's a top notch field but she's got a chance. The pace will be on,” he said.
“Seven out of the nine runners are leaders. It's going to be a real speed test."
Maher scratched Chloe In Paris from running in the McEwen Stakes earlier this month after her blood was not right.
"There was no rush to get her back to the races," he said. “There was nothing major wrong with her before the McEwen but she was just not right. Chloe In Paris has won three of her five starts over 1000 metres. She's drawn barrier four which is ideal."
Champion jockey Damien Oliver, who has ridden Chloe In Paris to two of her three wins, will ride the six-year-old.
