Mr Armstrong will paddle to various local surf spots on Sunday to raise money for 18-month-old Noah Dowie who has Diamond Blackfan Anemia, a condition that affects 800 people worldwide.
The event begins at the Passage at 2pm where he will paddle to Deadmans and back, catching a wave for Noah at each local break.
Mr Armstrong urged locals and visitors to dig deep.
“Noah is the sweetest little kid,” Mr Armstrong said. “He is flying! He has no idea that he has this bloody disease - he is just a kid, a toddler.”
If Noah’s battle isn’t enough reason to donate, Mr Armstrong said there would be a complimentary sausage sizzle, drinks and live music during the paddle for donors.
“Music will be playing, the surf will be pumping and the local rippers will be tearing up the waves - so there is plenty of entertainment for the punters in the two or three hours it will take to complete the paddle,” Mr Armstrong said.
