Grins weren’t the only things cheesy as five participants, varying in age, tried their hands at Mr Brightside’s pizzas.
Store owner Jarrod McSween helped the group prepare their pizzas, showing them how to spin dough in the air and guiding their lunch-time creations.
South-west support care worker Stewart Read said Warrnambool’s popular pizza venue had welcomed the participants for the once-off opportunity.
“It’s a great group and they get along well,” he said.
He said they were all excited to do something different for this week’s activity.
“They’re really enjoying the (cooking) program,” he said. “And it’s great to be able to do something like this.”
Support worker Monique Rylance said everyone was enjoying the day, following an earlier trip to the Port Fairy pool that day.
“It’s just a really great program,” she said.
