She has added a premiership medallion and Peta Richardson medal for best on court in the grand final to the Hampden league best and fairest she won last Sunday.
The 17-year-old has been phenomenal in defence all season, and again delivered when it mattered most – in a pulsating grand final that gave no player any breathing space.
“It was absolutely so intense out there,” she said.
“I tried to keep my calm throughout the whole game and try to keep everyone else pretty calm.
“Going into the extra time I had the confidence in the team and I guess we got over the line.”
Watson said it was a surreal feeling when the buzzer finally went at the end of extra time, giving the Seagulls a five-goal win.
“It’s just amazing to be out there and sharing (it) with so many girls, especially Nicole (Dwyer) who’s waited many years for this experience to finally win a flag,” she said.
