The 28-year-old has just returned to Dennington after racing in the Red CentreNats and pushing on to a Powercruise event in Brisbane
“All I wanted to do was get in the 10-second bracket and I clocked a 10.56 at 136mph,” Lampard said.
“I was really happy.
“I went up there last year and had an absolute ball, doing the drag racing and burnouts in my car.
“This year I went up there for the drag racing did that for a three-day event, which was amazing.”
The trip north was Lampard’s first with a new L98 six-litre engine with a BorgWarner turbo, which was ready just days out from the trip.
He will now turn his attentions to preparing for the Victorian Drag Challenge which runs from October 23-28.
