SES volunteers have used a flood boat to reach a group of 17 koalas clinging to low lying trees on the Hopkins River near Framlingham on Monday afternoon.

Volunteers provided food to the koalas left stranded since the rising of floodwaters last Thursday night.
Joint crews reached seven of the koalas, recovering five of them. The rescued koalas will now be relocated to an area not affected by floodwaters.
