He will visit China with Premier Daniel Andrews and Minister for Regional Development Jaala Pulford.
The trip, to the Chinese province of Jiangsu, will focus on business and trade opportunities.
“The visit to China is a great opportunity for Warrnambool and Victoria’s other regional cities,” Mr Anson said.
“The relationship with Jiangsu includes commitments around regional city partnerships. The visit will provide an insight into China and into doing business in China. I will visit the city of Jiangyan, an inland city which has a population of 800,000.”
The State Government is covering the cost of the trip, estimated to be about $3000.
