The co-coaches led the Blues to a drought-breaking grand final victory on Saturday – the club’s first flag in 17 years – and will once again take the helm in 2017.
Quick said he had “thoroughly enjoyed” his tenure at the club and was keen to coach again.
“I’m from out Glenormiston way so I’m a bit of a country kid myself, and I understand a footy club like Nirranda is a big part of the community,” he said.
“They’re a magnificent, humble community and the people live and breathe for their footy club. They have a fantastic network of volunteers and it gives them that little bit of joy.”
The former Terang Mortlake under 18.5s coach praised the work of previous coaches Aidan Cole and Brad Wiggins and said he and Threlfall had just continued the foundations they had set in place. “It’s not just us, it’s (the success) has been a combination of a lot of people,” Quick said.
