The Portland teenager booted the final goal of the topsy-turvy semi-final against Oakleigh Chargers on Sunday.
North Ballarat lost 12.14 (86) to 12.8 (80) at Carlton’s Ikon Park.
Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said he was proud of the players’ efforts.
“We were down on possession compared to Oakleigh Chargers but kept fighting and fighting,” he said.
“At one stage we were 22 points down and fell short by a kick.”
Two Rebels – South Warrnambool’s Hugh McCluggage and Camperdown’s Cedric Cox – will play in the inaugural under 18 all-stars game at Punt Road on AFL grand final eve.
The match will pit 40 of the nation’s best draft candidates against one another in the lead-up to the four-day testing combine.
