United will start their season against defending W-League champions Melbourne City when they join the Central Coast Mariners for two matches at Canberra Stadium on November 12.

The Mariners' will play two A-League fixtures in Canberra as part of a deal with the ACT government to bring men's soccer to the region.

Canberra United will enjoy part of the hype when they team up, but the club is still finalising its roster as they aim to win their third W-League title.

Coach Rae Dower will take charge again while it is hoped Rio Olympic Games Matildas' stars Michelle Heyman and Lydia Williams will also be back for more action.

The opening-round match will be televised while United will also play games at AAMI Park in Melbourne, Campbelltown Stadium and Central Coast Stadium as part of double-header fixtures.

Four of their games will be televised on Fox Sports and ABC.
