ORGAN FESTIVAL: Warrnambool’s third annual Organ Festival will include six performances at five different venues across the region commencing on Friday at Warrnambool’s St Josephs Church at 8pm. Organists will accompany radio plays and narrated stories.

MUSICAL: Warrnambool’s Kings College will present its version of the timeless classic Les Miserables in the school’s auditorium on Balmoral Road, tonight and tomorrow and again from September 8-10. Performances will begin at 7.30pm.
ART: The Spring Art Show begins at Camperdown’s St Paul’s Hall.
BABIES: The Warrnambool Library will host its weekly Rhyme Time between 10.30am and 11.30am for babies and toddlers to dance and wriggle as librarians read stories for an hour.
FILM: The Port Fairy Film Society will show Eddie the Eagle at 1.30pm and 7.30pm on Friday at the Riordan Theatre, Banks Street. Based on the true story of Eddie Edwards the underdog ski jumper at the 1988 Winter Olympics, this film stars Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton.
TALENT SEARCH: 15 Minutes of Fame will begin at the St Brigid’s Hall in Crossley from 6.30pm on Friday night. Each performer will get 15 minutes to sing, play or otherwise entertain the audience. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner to the event.
SATURDAY:
GRAND FINAL: Warrnambool Seahawks are chasing their first Big V basketball championship in 19 years when they host game two of the grand final series at Warrnambool Stadium at 7pm. The Seahawks are 1-0 up in the best of three series. Game three, if needed, will be at the stadium on Sunday.
SEPTEMBER DREAMS: Dennington and Nirranda are chasing Warrnambool and District league grand final berths when they meet in the senior footy and A grade netball preliminary finals at Reid Oval. The Hampden league’s qualifying final is on at Cobden.
GAMERS: Multiplayer computer gamers are invited to attend LAN Of The Damned 35 in the Brauer College Auditorium on Saturday and Sunday. Up to 70 people will participate in 24 hours of large scale gaming with winners taking home trophies and prizes. The event begins at noon on Saturday and concludes noon Sunday.
THEATRE: Miss Bronte will be performed at the Portland Arts Centre, Glenelg Street on Saturday from 7.30pm. The one-woman play is about Charlotte Bronte’s secret love and inspiration for Jane Eyre.
SONG: Gunditjmara/Kokatha songman/storyteller Dave Arden performs at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre at 7.30pm.
SUNDAY:
FOOTY: Port Fairy and Camperdown square off in the Hampden football league elimination final at the Friendly Societies’ Park.
MARKET: The Father’s Day Fresh Market will be held between 9am and 1pm on Warrnambool’s foreshore.
