A PENSHURST man charged with trafficking has been released on bail but has to live in Melbourne with his mother - away from bad influences in Penshurst.

Craig Kelly, 31, of Cox Street, appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday for a bail/remand hearing.
Police said that Mr Kelly moved to Penshurst four weeks ago from Melbourne.
At 11.37pm on Friday police were patrolling in Hamilton's Kenna Avenue which is a popular area for drug trafficking.
Officers noticed a vehicle with its headlights turned off and there were a number of people in the car.
Mr Kelly was in the rear seat and appeared under the influence of drugs. He was shaking and nervous.
In a black case police found remnants of ice and an ice smoking pipe.
In a woman's backpack further ice was found and where Mr Kelly was seated there were deal bags and scales.
Checks revealed that there were two warrants out for Mr Kelly's arrest after he failed to appear in Frankston court two days prior on charges of obtaining property by deception and driving offences.
Mr Kelly was arrested and a search found three bags containing ice in his underwear.
The total weight of ice found was 2.84 grams valued at about $2000.
Police believe Mr Kelly was in Kenna Avenue for the purpose of trafficking ice and he was charged with that and remanded in custody.
Mr Kelly, who represented himself, said he had not appeared in Frankston court because he had been required to appear in the county court at the same time.
He accepted he was drug affected when arrested by police.
Magistrate John Lesser said he would be prepared to bail Mr Kelly to his mother's Doveton address if she confirmed he could live there.
She did through a phone call made by a police officer.
The magistrate said he did not want to set Mr Kelly up to fail by surrounding him with bad influences in Penshurst.
Mr Kelly was released on bail to re-attend at court on September 16 with conditions he obey an overnight curfew, report to police three times a week and attend drug treatment.
