Footage uploaded to Instagram by teammate Greg Hire showed Johnson sinking a basket from downtown at training, unbalanced with the ball behind his back.

"Our newest addition to the@perthwildcats is pretty good even when he doesn't try," the post said.

There did appear to be one issue with the shot, however - it was scored from the wrong end.

That said, if the American import can do anything similar at the right end of the court once the NBL season starts, he'll be a big hit with  Red Army fans.
