The south-west cricketers will compete alongside two other Australian teams in the six-a-side tournament – held on the Malaysian island state of Penang – which is set to kick off on September 3.
Bandara, Paul Walker, Eddie Wallace, Nathan Divall and Jeremy Cook – all from Russells Creek – will make up the crux of the side, while Jarrod Wilson, of East Warrnambool will line up again.
Nirranda’s Jason Mungean will captain the outfit, while Russells Creek hall-of-famer David Fish will act as team manager.
While the tournament’s sole focus is on fun, Bandara said he was hopeful of advancing beyond last year’s effort of a quarter final berth.
"We came up against a side from Kuwait who had four national team players, it was a tough challenge,” he said.
All matches are five overs per side, with innings lasting just 20 minutes. Each player must bowl one over in the game.
