Libraries, schools and pre-schools have shared a variety of books, celebrating Australian authors and illustrators as part of Book Week activities.
The week aims to encourage reading and highlight the importance of literacy.
This year marks 70 years of the Book of the Year Awards which are a valued part of the national week-long celebration.
This year’s theme was Australia! Story Country with students dressing as bush ranger Ned Kelly, jackaroos, soldiers and Australian sports stars.
