AFL legend Kevin Sheedy saved the day when he agreed to open Sheepvention 2016 as guest speaker. The event was officially opened on Monday by the Essenden great, alongside Sheepvention president Gordon Last and Southern Grampians mayor Peter Dark. Mr Sheedy praised the people of the country and said he looked forward to raising the awareness of farmers across Australia with an AFL match next year.
