The Tigers trialled different combinations in Saturday’s 70-27 home win over East Warrnambool, pleasing coach Jacqui McDonald with the result.
“Even though we’re playing a couple of easier teams, we still want to keep playing our game,” she said.
“We’re working on a few different positional changes, so we did move people around.
“We want to have as many options as we can going into finals.”
McDonald praised defender Nicole Ferguson, who played through goal defence and wing defence on Saturday and intercepted well.
Meanwhile, Panmure surged into the top five on the back of a thrilling 51-48 win over Old Collegians.
The win saw the Bulldogs replace the Russells Creek in the top five as the squeeze for a finals berth tightens just two weeks out from the end of the home-and-away season.
“It’s really motivating to the girls to know we’re in the top five,” Panmure captain Maddi White said.
“To come out with a hard-fought win (was great).”
Allansford was too good for Deakin University Sharks, winning 48-36 to keep its finals hopes alive, while Dennington was a comfortable 57-26 winner over Timboon Demons.
Coach Steph Townsend led by example in Nirranda’s 58-40 win over Russells Creek. She joined Georgia Haberfield and Natalie Inia in the Blues’ best.
