The Anglican Women’s Guild treasurer Sue Henry said the group was hoping to raise close to $1000, similar to the amount in past years.
“The money goes back into our community here and also into the wider Anglican community throughout Victoria and Australia for the most part,” she said.
“Sometimes we would use part of it for supporting church renovation – the bell tower has just been done here.”
Ms Henry said the constant stream of people coming through on the day was a positive sign.
Books, furniture, toys, fabric and plants, which the group has been collecting since around Christmas-time, filled the church hall.
Any goods not sold on the day will be passed on to local community groups including charity op-shops and Rotary clubs.
