The Tigers will host East Warrnambool this weekend, before facing off against South Rovers and Nirranda to close out its 2016 season.
Merrivale coach Karl Dwyer said tight fixtures in the lead up to the Warrnambool and District Football League finals would ensure the club was primed for the campaign.
“We want to make sure we absolutely get there … We’ve got to win this week and we’d like to beat Rovers. We’re two games clear of them at the moment,” he said.
“I think if you have a challenging run home it holds you in good stead. All of the sides we play are difficult.
“The experience is there and hopefully that works in our favour.”
The Tigers will include James Preston and Todd McLean for the clash.
