Rangers could all but cement a fifth-consecutive finals berth with a win over Vic Park Blue on Sunday, and would move 11 points clear of the Ballarat club in the process.
Pyke said the club was hopeful of fielding a full-strength side for the clash and would use the home ground edge to full advantage.
“We’re playing a style of football which is really to our strengths at the moment,” he told The Standard.
“We’re pretty well balanced across the park and our defence has been brilliant at keeping opposition to low scores. I think there’s only been two games where we’ve let a lot of goals in and we’ve been really solid in every other.
“Our midfielders have shown they can chip in with goals when our forwards aren’t firing, and quite often the forwards will pass it back to the midfielders and be unselfish in that respect.”
Rangers host Vic Park Blue at the Jones Oval on Sunday. The game will kick off at 3pm.
