Portland police Sergeant Gavin Slade said that on Thursday evening about 7.30 officers arrested a 28-year-old Portland man on a number of outstanding warrants in west Portland.
He said police found a substantial amount of a substance believed to be crystal methylamphetamine and the man has been charged with trafficking ice.
The man was remanded in custody overnight after appearing before a bail justice and will be in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday for a bail/remand hearing.
