Rhaedel Miller Pickett, 16, has grand plans for her future and hopes her role as a leader at a two-week event in the Northern Territory this week will help her on her way.

The year 11 Heywood student was selected to play a leadership role at Garma 2016, an annual festival held in the north-eastern part of Arnhem Land that attracts more than 2,000 visitors.
Ms Pickett has Noongar nation links in Western Australia and moved to Victoria with her family 8 years ago.
She said being involved would help develop her connection to her culture.
Ms Pickett urged other young Indigenous people from the south-west to embrace opportunities.
“You only have one life so you may as well do it right,” Ms Pickett said.
