The reigning Hampden senior footy premiers are expecting to start welcoming back a number of injured stars in the next few weeks – headlined by the Saints debut of Tim McIntyre – but will have to start making some tough calls on a group that toppled North Warrnambool Eagles on Saturday.
“To be honest, we haven’t had a lot of difficult decisions to make in terms of the side, but they’re coming now,” Koroit coach Adam Dowie said.
“I’ve got to make sure that I’m picking the best side to give us the best chance of winning.
“If I don’t do that, if I allow sentiment or something else to get in the way of difficult decisions, then I’m letting down the players.”

The Saints have been without the likes of former Blue McIntyre – who is working his way back from a knee reconstruction – and Levi Nagorcka for most of the year, while brilliant youngsters James Gow, Jarrod Korewha and Willem Drew have spent most or all of the season so far playing for North Ballarat Rebels.
