Past and present educators, families and their children, from up to four generations, will join for the November 12 festivities, which will include the exhuming of a time capsule and the burial of a new piece of history.
Event organiser Bec Campbell said the search had begun for memorabilia – particularly photos – to mark the extensive history of the early learning facility.
The organising committee are looking for class photos from the years of 1966, 67, 70, 71, 73, 74, and 77.
Glenelg Shire Mayor Cr Max Oberlander encouraged people to head along.
“We all look so fondly back on those early learning days, which provide the footprint for our future educational path,” he said.
