The former commanding officer of Warrnambool Support Company 2RVR was commended for more than 12 years of efficient service.
Lieutenant Colonel Fry of Ballarat made a special trip to presented the medal to the former Officer Commanding.
Two officers accompanied the Colonel, all arriving that day by light aircraft and leaving immediately after the ceremony’s conclusion.
The Warrnambool company had participated days earlier in a weapons training weekend at the rifle range in Warrnambool where several trophies were presented to outstanding M60 machine-gunners.
