The reigning Ballarat and District Soccer Association women’s minor premier will carry a number of niggling injuries into the break, but will still face off against the Warrnambool Wolves’ ladies outfit in a friendly on Monday.
Rangers captain Raya Rantall said the club would focus on resting up ahead of a top-of-the-table clash with last season’s grand final rival Ballarat North United.
“North are a tough side. It’s probably going to be close again, because it seems like our games with them always are,” she said.
“We’ve got a few injuries in that we haven’t had much luck with players coming back and hurting themselves again, so it’ll (the bye) be nice as everyone is a bit sore.
“But we’re able to keep running towards the end of games, which is holding us in good stead as other sides might fade out a little bit.”
