Detective Senior Constable Danny Wright, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said Warrnambool CIU detectives and members of the divisional response unit conducted the raids at Lismore and Derrinallum on Thursday morning.
"Simultaneous warrants were executed at Derrinallum and Lismore in response to an increase number of burglaries and thefts in the Lismore, Terang, Mortlake, Camperdown and Derrinallum districts since April," he said.
"A 39-year-old man from Derrinallum was arrested after a warrant was executed at his home in relation to an investigation."
Detective Senior Constable Wright said a quantity of ice, a stolen motorbike valued at $10,000, a sawn-off firearm and computers were located and seized.
"The man was arrested, interviewed at the Mortlake police station, charged and released on bail," he said.
"He has been charged with trafficking ice, handling stolen goods, possessing the proceeds of crime and firearm offences."
The detective said Operations Blasters was launched as a result of increased crime in the Lismore, Terang, Mortlake, Camperdown and Derrinallum districts impacting on sporting clubs, schools and private properties.
"We would request that residents in those areas lock their homes, sheds and garages and keep an eye out for suspicious people or vehicles and take down the registration number of those vehicles," Detective Senior Constable Wright said.
