Green thumbs were put to use at Warrnambool West Primary, planting 100 trees for National Tree Day.
School senior leader Nicole King said the Toyota sponsored event was a terrific opportunity for students.
“It's about being aware of, caring for and improving our environment with trees and shade,” she said. “It’s just terrific, getting the community involved.”
Staff, students and Warrnambool Toyota dealers got their hands dirty with planting activities and a barbecue lunch on the day.
The largest community tree planting and nature care event in Australia has contributed to the planting of more than 22 million trees across 21 years.
