Eagles co-coach Brendan Murfett said a best-on-ground performance from five-goal, 35-disposal star Dylan Parish was the catalyst for their 22.11 (143) to 9.4 (58) triumph over Portland at Hanlon Park on Saturday.
“Dylan as a youngster played midfield. Last year he played as a forward but he had a big pre-season this year and his fitness levels are up there,” he said.
Portland coach Luke Crane labelled the Tigers’ skill level “terrible”.
“It came back to perceived pressure a bit,” he said.
