Stand By Warrnambool campaign team members Mark Byron, Jade Cornfoot, Zoe Dyer and Mikayla Ryan-Pitch said Vice Chancellor Jane den Hollander’s announcement had come as a relief to current students who could finish their degrees.

“The Vice Chancellor’s decision to retain the Warrnambool campus is a positive move,” their statement read.

“Students are relieved that they will be able to complete their Deakin degrees at the Warrnambool campus. Moving forward into the future we would like to see Deakin make an indefinite re-commitment to Warrnambool.”
