Playing alongside Scotland's Colin Montgomerie and former world No.1 Luke Donald, Leishman will be off bright and early at 6.35am local time on Thursday (3.35pm AEST) as he attempts to atone for his agonising near miss at St Andrews.
Leishman had a 20-foot birdie chance on the 72nd hole to win the 2015 Open, only to err right before falling short in a three-man, four-hole play-off with eventual champion Zach Johnson and 2010 winner Louis Oosthuizen.
The Victorian returns in an 11-strong Australian contingent headed by world No.1 Jason Day.
