The new Pokemon Go augmented reality app, which guides users to walk around and track down and catch creatures, only launched in Australia on Wednesday.
The creatures known as Pokemon were first popularised through Japanese video games in the 1990s.
In the game, the characters are realistically superimposed on to the user’s actual surroundings through the phone’s camera.
