CUDGEE harness racing trainer John Meade has celebrated the first group one win of his two decades-long career. Sparkling Success, with leading driver Gavin Lang in the sulky, claimed the Vicbred Super Series four-year-old trotting entires and geldings final at Melton on Friday night. “It’s just a thrill. This win will mean something for us … it will do something for us. I’ll wake up in the morning and I won’t be tired,” Meade told the Australian Harness Racing website.
