But fresh off a breakthrough win, East Warrnambool coach Rachael McGrath said the mood around the club was positive as they prepare to take on the Blues again.
“Everyone is feeling pretty good – they were very happy to get the win under their belts,” she said.
“We want to try to keep the ball out of their end as much as we can, so we’ve worked on out defensive strategies of blocking their players from getting it in there.”
While going into the game with a firm focus on their defence, McGrath said they would also have to balance it out with being as strong through attack as possible.
They will be without wing attack Mel Hunt, who is awaiting the results of MRI scans to learn the extent of a knee injury, but will bring Kyla Pearse in to fill the position.
