A NELSON man, 53, will appear in Portland Magistrates Court next month after being charged with drug-related offences.
Detective Senior Constable Jack Beanland, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said a warrant was executed at a Nelson property at 8.30am last Thursday where the man was arrested. He said cannabis weighing 1.3 kilograms was seized.
He has been bailed to appear in court charged with cultivating, possessing and using cannabis.
“Portland police detectives and uniform police from Heywood, Branxholme and Dartmoor were involved in executing the warrant. Plants and seeds were found,” he said.
