Registration renewals were due on April 10 and owners were reminded to notify the council if their cat or dog no longer lived in the shire.
Fines are expected to be issued in coming weeks.
Residents are reminded to double check they have renewed their animal registrations, which were due by 10 April, with over 200 pets still unpaid for.
The outstanding renewals have prompted a reminder for residents to advise Council if the animal no longer resides in the Shire.
Environment and Emergency manager Lyall Bond said all new dogs and cats must be registered with the council.
“It is important that people register their pets as in many instances it can assist in them being returned safely if they are lost or stolen or stray,” he said.
