Author Diane Jackson Hill said the writing was on the wall when, during a visit to the Warrnambool foreshore in 2015, she became captivated by the story of the Middle Island Maremma Project.
Her 32-page picture book is now the product of this passion for the protection and restoration of Middle Island, in Warrnambool.
Warrnambool Books will launch the book, titled Chooks In Dinner Suits – A Tale of Big Dogs and Little Penguins’, on June 30 at 2pm at it’s Fairy Street premises.
Copies of the books will be available to purchase on the day with ten percent of the proceeds going directly to the Maremma project.
