Forza Horizon 3 was one of the big games unveiled at Los Angeles’ E3 gaming event this week and will be set entirely in Australia.
Developed by British company Turn 10 Studios for XBox and Windows PCs, the game will allow players to build a garage of their favourite cars, drive them freely around the countryside and engage in outlandish racing events that will include going through the bush, across the beach and over iconic paths like the Great Ocean Road.
But don’t expect a realistic representation of the Twelve Apostles and its surrounds – an in-game map published by gaming site Kotaku details the liberties the creators have taken with Australian geography to make a more playable environment, notably placing the Great Ocean Road in between Byron Bay and Surfers Paradise.
