WINTER WEEKEND: Port Fairy, every weekend until July 24. Collection of culture and community events over seven weekends in Port Fairy.
THE PEASANT PRINCE: COPACC, Colac, June 15, 11 am & 1pm, and June 16, 9.30am & 11.30am. The story of Li Cunxin, Mao’s Last Dancer, brought to life.
HIPPO! HIPPO!: Lighthouse Theatre, Warrnambool, June 16, 9.30am, 11.30am & 1.30pm. All-ages musical based on kids book There’s A Hippopotamus On My Roof Eating Cake.
TRUMBO: Hamilton Cinema, June 16, 7.30pm & June 17, 2pm. Hamilton Film Group screens this Oscar-nominated story of blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston).
ART AUCTION: HIRL, Hamilton, June 17, 6pm. A fundraiser for HIRL featuring works by local artists.
ST KILDA SHORT FILM FESTIVAL: Theatre Royal, Camperdown, June 18, 7.30pm. Some of the best entries in the world-renowned short film event are touring the country.
THE ARTIST WAS A WOMAN: Hamilton Art Gallery, June 21, 10am. Friends of the Hamilton Gallery screen this film about 400 years of female artists.
THE INFINITE MAN: Mozart Hall, Warrnambool, June 22, 7.30pm. Aussie-made time travel comedy, shown by F Project Cinema.
THE UMBILICAL BROTHERS: Lighthouse Theatre, June 23, 7.30pm & Hamilton PAC, June 26, 7.30pm. Comedy duo are back with Kids Show, which is definitely not for kids.
ARTIST AWARDS: Merri View Gallery, Warrnambool, June 24, 7.30pm.Opening night for annual awards exhibition, with winners announced and all proceeds going to Water for East Timor.
