East coast singer-songwriter Kim Churchill is on the line-up for next year's Port Fairy Folk Festival.
THE second allocation of tickets to next year's Port Fairy Folk Festival go on sale tomorrow, just as a handful of artists on the bill have been leaked to further entice punters.
The Standard can exclusively announce that American folk singer John McCutcheon, Seychelles-born reggae-fusion artist Grace Barbe, the traditional New Orleans sounds of Tuba Skinny, and east coast favourite Kim Churchill are also on the line-up for the March long weekend event.
They will join the previously announced artists Arlo Guthrie and Eric Bogle on bill.
The first larger line-up announcement will be made on October 22 and a typically strong and diverse roster of artists is expected, with some south-west artists also rumoured to be getting a guernsey alongside the international and national stars.
Today's release of more tickets for sale comprises about one quarter of the total tickets for the event.
The majority of the tickets are allotted in the first allocation, which were snapped up by Folkie-goers in just two weeks earlier this year - far more quickly than in recent years.
The second allocation is also expected to go fast.
A third allocation comprising the remainder of the tickets will hit the box office on January 8, which will be the last chance for people to get tickets. Should the event not sell-out, remaining tickets will sold on the gate, but this is not something that has happened for many years.
March 9-12 will mark the 37th Port Fairy Folk Festival, which annually attracts close to 30,000 people to the small seaside town.
