Leishman carded a final round four-under par 68 to finish in a tie for 11th at the Memorial Tournament at Muirhead Village in Ohio.
It was his second consecutive top-15 result on the US PGA Tour and best finish since he was tied for fifth at the Northern Trust Open in February.
Leishman’s next major assignment is the US Open at Oakmont, one of America’s toughest courses, which starts on June 16.
"I feel like I'm playing well and look forward to getting to Oakmont and hopefully improving even more," Leishman said.
He and John Senden were the leading Australians at the Memorial, finishing with 11-under totals, four behind winner, American Will McGirt, who triumphed in a playoff against countryman Jon Curran.
World number one Jason Day slipped down the leaderboard following a two-over 74 on the final day. He finished in a tie for 27th.
