The Heytesbury District Landcare Network (HDLN) is running an on-site workshop near Port Campbell on June 8 to explain the profitability benefits of direct seeding shelterbelts.
The session will be hosted by Chris Hibburt and Katy Millard at their 253 Curdievale-Port Campbell Rd property that has a strong shelterbelt system. The event starts at 11am and includes lunch.
HDLN Landcare manager Geoff Rollinson said shelterbelts were a worthwhile investment in the future. He said shelterbelts created increased productivity through enhanced shelter, shade and biodiversity.
