Through her life Mrs Alsop was devoted to her family, spending many happy years raising her three daughters on a dairy farm near Port Campbell with her husband Wilfred.
Sisters Lorraine Buckingham, Gail Taylor and Janine Cameron, who still live locally, came to Mount View Aged Care Facility in Terang to celebrate their mum’s life.
They said their sometimes-strict mum was very good at sewing and cooking, and she took pleasure in passing those skills on to her daughters.
Mrs Buckingham said her parents were devoted to one another and that Mrs Alsop used to help her husband with milking. He passed away in 1975.
Mrs Alsop’s six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren celebrated with her.
Staff said Mrs Alsop was the first person at the aged care facility to celebrate a century milestone for more than 15 years.
